This discipline uses a rest to support the rifle while shooting, making it perfect for beginners, older shooters, those with medical conditions or struggle with the weight of the rifles. You may choose to either stand or sit for Bench Rest
Shooters will shoot a 40 shot or a 60 shot match dependent on their grade/level of ability. There are four grades starting from "Rest 4" to "Rest 1", ensuring every one can participate in all competitions.
Shooting is a sport that takes time and practice to master. To allow all shooters to compete fairly at competitions a grading system is used. Grades are calculated by shooter achieving a score range 6 times in club shooting or twice in competition shooting. New shooters who have not been graded can still compete and will be entered as "U" ungraded.
